Healthcare/Dental Billing and Customer Service Job Opening in North Haven, Connecticut - Job Summary: Are you looking to work for a growing Company? Are you looking for a dynamic environment? Look no further... at Century you will be responsible for resolution of insurance and patient balance for hospital claims, including but not limited to insurance verification, resubmission, follow-up, appeals, data input, and patient contact. Account review and adjustments to ensure maximum accuracy and timely reimbursement. Will be required to thoroughly research, evaluate and identify any trends to team leader. Participate as directed by team leader in departmental projects to support our business function.
Base Pay: $12.00 to $15.00 (plus bonus potential)
Duties and Job Functions:
Responsible for collection of all assigned managed care and self pay accounts in a timely manner.
Develop and maintain rapport with client staff to facilitate access to information and ensure client cooperation.
Disposition of customer complaints and inquires regarding assigned accounts.
Maintain account aging with an emphasis on accounts over 90 days old.
Updates patient information i.e. taking additional insurance, employer or change of address information and updates in the billing system.
Responsible for posting adjustments and denials to patient accounts in a timely fashion.
Responsible for maintaining daily and monthly reports and work logs
Initiate communication with patients for required documentation or payment to resolve accounts.
Investigates billing problems for patients with client and insurance carriers.
Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Familiar with CPT, ICD-9, HCPC coding.
Current knowledge of FDCPA, managed care, commercial and Federal/State agencies required.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Strong commitment to customer service.
Knowledge of multiple insurance carriers? operating procedures.
Ability to use computer systems and PC to manage all aspects of billing and insurance follow-up functions.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve and correct errors.
Exceptional analytical and customer service skills
Knowledge of FDCPA and HIPAA requirements*
