Full-Time Retail Sales Associate- IMMEDIATE INTERVIEW Job Opening in Honolulu, Hawaii - The Audio Sales, Bookstore Sales Associates are to provide customer service to all park visitors which includes a welcoming retail environment, accurate transactions and outstanding customer service.
D* *uties and responsibilities
Greet visitors as they enter the store in a welcoming manner;
Accurately process debit & credit sales, to ensure customer is charged the accurate amount for items, process cash sales in an accurate manner to ensure the customer is given the correct amount of change;
Open and close drawer during shift ensuring cash verification in at the beginning of shift and an accurate cash out and balance deposit at the end of shift;
Sell PHP Memberships to customers, with the ability to explain the benefits of the Membership (Tax Deductible, 15% Discount, Quarterly Magazine, etc.)
Keep store merchandized and looking attractive at all times. This will include restocking, folding of shirts, organizing bookshelves and other merchandize, ensuring that clothing is sorted correctly by size;
Occasionally assist with inventory and other special events that may be held outside of traditional worksites and work location.
Qualifications
One Year of Retail, Cashier or Customer Service Experience
High School Diploma or GED Required, Some college preferred
Ability to work in a professional manner with a highly diverse group of clientele, including non-English speakers;
Physical requirements
Bookstore, and other retail sites required prolonged standing with little or no opportunity to sit, except for scheduled breaks;
Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 30 pounds
Ability to continuously move large and bulky wheeled displays;
Ability to reach, stoop, bend and lift to clean and restock supplies;
Bookstore will require manual dexterity to separate plastic bags, place items in bags, stack items, fold items, and sort items, as well as run the POS system and key UPC codes into the register. These motions can be repetitive
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Mental acuity sufficient to collect and interpret data, evaluate, reason, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, make valid judgments and decisions.
