Accounting Manager Job Opening in Green Bay, Wisconsin - Wisconsin Lock and Load Prisoner Transports was founded by former law enforcement professionals who have a thorough understanding of prisoner transport. The company?s main interest is to provide financial relief to law enforcement agencies in order to enable them to keep officers in much needed community protection service positions. Wisconsin Lock and Load can save counties substantial resources and time related to the transportation of detainees. This savings enables departments to create new positions or better utilize valuable existing personnel within the constraints of their budgets.
Wisconsin Lock and Load is looking for a General Accountant who will be responsible for a wide range of general accounting and financial duties in support of the accounting functions for the company.
Responsibilities:
Ability to handle all accounting functions including entry of accounts payable and payment of vendors, support of billings, application of payments, and collections.
Reconciliation of monthly bank statements
Develop a cash flow planning model to create visibility to the team
Serve as backup for bi-weekly payroll submission to third-party processor.
Develop internal metrics for tracking company performance for management review and decision-making.
Evaluate, identify, develop, implement, and maintain systems, records, policies, and processes to provide timely, accurate, consistent reporting of the company?s financial performance.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly and year-end closing, and coordination of tax payments on behalf of the owner
Develop, in conjunction with management, an annual budget
Calculates vacation benefits, tracks performance reviews and any scheduled pay changes
Works with the President in determining employee benefit
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting preferred, Associates degree required
3+ years of successful accounting experience
Knowledge and experience operating Peachtree accounting software, and Crystal Reports
General knowledge of Human Resource functions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Strong ability to work independently and manage one?s time
