Accounting Manager Job Opening in Brookfield, Wisconsin - Description:
Our client, a southeast Wisconsin based plumbing contractor, is seeking a General Accounting/Business Manager. This individual will be primarily responsible for all facets of the company's accounting system and relevant systems and is responsible for providing management with accurate financial information and analysis needed to facilitate effecting decision making and planning.
Specific duties include:
1. Cash receipts posting.
2. Customer invoicing.
3. Accounts payable posting and related cash disbursements.
4. Payroll processing, submission of payroll tax deposits and preparation of required payroll tax fillings.
5. Maintenance of general ledger and supporting schedules for key accounts, including monthly bank reconciliations.
6. Preparation of month-end financial statements.
7. Review accuracy of monthly general ledger and reports.
8. Support annual financial statement review and tax return preparation by external CPA firm.
Requirements:
A minimum of three years of broad-ranging bookkeeping experience in a computerized environment.
A four year college degree is preferred.
Experience in the construction industry is preferred. In particular, experience with union based payroll and related issues.
Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.)
