Divisional Controller Job Opening in Waukesha, Wisconsin - D&H Industries is owned by a small investment group(Trace-A-Matic, D&H Industries, American Friction Welding and Cutting Edge Fabrication) that combined is about $75M in sales. This position would directly report to the CFO and have dotted line responsibilities to each Company President. The CFO is near retirement and this position does have the potential for growth into the CFO role. The Divisional Controller position is located in Oconomowoc, WI.
Background Requirements:
* Successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience or commensurate experience in industry.
* Candidate should have background in manufacturing
* Extensive knowledge of ERP systems as they relate to manufacturing environment.
* Preferably basic report writing knowledge in some report writing package (i.e. Crystal Reports or MS Access)
Responsibilities:
* A/P: Audit for proper G/L treatment of expenses & sales tax / use tax
* A/R: Determine credit for new customers. Make sure collections are within 65 days (generally not a problem). Ensure payments posted properly, tec.
* Oversee cash needs on a daily basis - pay downs or draws from LC
* Process any overseas Letters of Credit, wire transfers, etc.
* Payroll: HR processes payroll. Controller position would do periodic audits reconciling DL hours, etc.
* Inventory / Costing - Oversee cycle count process (we have a full time inventory / job cost person). Set standard costs. Review WIP Report with Production Manager or Master Scheduler. Review Stock Staus Reports as pertains to quantities & unit cost. Review Gross Margin report with Manufacturing and Sales.
* Generate Pro-Forma Cash Flow; analyze borrowing needs
* Generate monthly financials
* Work with CPA firm to prepare the annual review
* Become a driving force in "Lean Office" mindset
* Spearhead full system (Vantage by Epicor) usage throughout the organization. Develop custom reports. queries or applications to improve overall company effectiveness.
* Calculate cost rates. Analyze over and under applied overhead.
* Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation
* Prepare monthly tax returns. Manage preparation of sales & use tax returns
* Supervise 2 employees
* Back-up for Group Controller - special project may be assigned.
