Software Engineer Job Opening in Lexington, Massachusetts - We are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for working closely with our Product Development team to bring innovative software to market to accelerate bioresearch. We are looking for a full-stack developer, comfortable with coding web marketplace interfaces on our Java platform to creating interfaces for healthcare data. This is a challenging, yet very rewarding role and a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing start up at an early stage.
Responsibilities
Full-stack software developer- developing solutions across the range of our offering:
Bioresearcher Marketplace- updating our Javascript web interfaces with enhanced functionality
Platform - augmenting the core Java platform running on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Linux
Data layer - optimizing our core architecture running on ElasticSearch and Postgres
Data sources - adding new data sources, API?s, integrations for acquiring healthcare care data
Ability to think creatively and come up with new approaches to solve challenging problems
Work with other team members to foster more web engineering expertise across the team
Collaborate with QA, Product Management, and Design to deliver complete solutions
Desired Qualifications
3+ years of full-stack web development experience, preferably with healthcare experience
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree
Experience with Java, JSP, Javascript frameworks, Linux, and AWS
Experience with relational, and ideally non-relational, databases
Experience developing new APIs, and integrating with data sources
Ideally, experience at a growing start up and the ability to provide technical leadership
The ability to handle a fast paced environment with confidence and a clear vision
Experience delivering complex software projects on time with superior quality
Easily approachable, tech savvy, professional, and a strong sense of business ethics
Strong foundation of engineering competency, with a passion for execution and delivery
A versatile personality with proven interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
