Account Executives are responsible for generating leads, creating connections, and solving our customers? challenges. This effort includes establishing and delivering on specific, measurable sales goals ? we?re metrics focused and you must be too. You must build rapport with internal partners to ensure clear communication and effective delivery of client requirements. The marketing and print world is changing. Expectations:
Identify sales-related goals; implement and manage sales and marketing programs, strategies and processes to attain those goals (i.e. appointments, event attendance, event results, phone calls conversion, etc.).
Develop and implement specific, measurable sales strategies that address specific customer preferences and priorities
Fully understand marketing concepts, sales strategy, ways to address specific customer needs in print, email, web, purls etc.
Compile and analyze all sales reports, statistics and trends. Track efforts and create measurable goals. Be able to provide documentation
Manage personal budget, expenses, targets and financial goals for the company. Understand the revenue and product sales goals and the marketing investments required to achieve these objectives
Be an active participant in the daily operation of the sales office (i.e. taking appointments, meeting with walk-ins, answering phones, scheduling appointments, hand-writing notes to customers, following-up with customers in person and online
Be active and highly visible in the community: setting-up events, attending conferences, networking broadly and connecting personally and professionally with the organizations, businesses and government entities that make up our region
Exhibit strong goal- and outcome-driven character; and be able to inspire others to do the same
Deliver effective sales presentations that inspire prospective customers to take their next step in the sales cycle with us. We require professional-level, fully-developed, consistent, effective, energetic, entertaining and customer-focused presentation skills to attain measurable sales results consistently
Must be able to think on your feet, work as team leader, and address potential changes as they arise
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree is required; Masters in Sales, Marketing or Business Management is preferred
Three or more years of sales and marketing experience required; Print industry experience preferred
Exhibits a proven track record of setting, attaining and dominating aggressive sales goals; earning bonuses and top commissions. You must VERIFY your long-term success in setting, tracking and exceeding sales goals and profitable results
Up-to-date on implementing leading-edge sales practices and strategies with proven adaptability
Experienced in customer mapping, creating positive and motivating customer experiences through compelling sales events and daily interactions
Listens to customer needs, works with the production team to design excellent new custom solutions. Also senses market shifts; developing and implementing products that sell to a broad range of clients
Earns trust and build solid relationships throughout our ? and our clients? ? organizations; command respect by colleagues and customers of all levels
Exhibits excellent phone sales, customer service, communication (both oral & written) & editing skills
Creative, strategic thinker and ?rainmaker? ? always designing customer solutions that advance their goals; while simultaneously ensuring excellent product delivery and profitability for the company
Must have a fierce work ethic and exhibit a strong, personal commitment to put in the hours needed to be a successful Account Executive and community leader
Willingly and proactively learns new technologies, variable data print solutions, data-driven, multi-channel marketing and print solutions ? and can communicate these to customers fluidly
Must be willing to work as a team player and enjoys learning new skills and concepts regularly
