Secondary Department Set-Up Person Job Opening in Prospect, Connecticut - Job description
The Secondary Department Set-Up Person is responsible for overseeing the operation within the Secondary Department. It involves the proper maintenance and set-up of machines within the department including Hartford thread rollers, mills, drill presses, surface grinders, and assembly equipment etc. Also, responsible for the supervision of department personnel.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates training in the proper operation of the equipment in the department
Schedules workforce assignments for department personnel
Measure, examine, and test completed components to detect defects
Maintain appropriate industrial machines
Set-up jobs as required
Determine maintenance requirements and perform maintenance as needed per company procedures
Facilitate employee meetings and keeps appropriate employee records
Monitor employee attendance reports and maintain overtime equalization

Qualifications:
2 ? 3 years? experience as a Machinist
Experienced Department Head/Supervisor
Knowledge of Precision Manufacturing
Team player ability to learn and think quickly
