POSITION SUMMARY: The Customer Service/Inside Sales person is responsible for growing the number of customers across all platforms. Provides direct support to the Outside Sales Managers to service customer accounts, generate leads and additional sales.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Satisfy customer expectations through good salesmanship and follow-up utilizing strategic selling concepts.
Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
Analyzes business trends to develop business growth strategy.
Collaborates with Outside Sales Managers and Marketing Manager to develop and present category reviews, new product presentations, share growth initiatives and consumer insight findings in an actionable manner.
Is the customer?s primary advocate, by directing initiatives with internal departments to ensure new products, promotions and other account initiatives are developed and delivered.
Evaluate customers needs and build long-term quality relationships.
Investigate and solve complex customer problems elevated by outside sales.
Prepare customer service and sales reports for management.
Oversee responses to customer inquiries.
Effectively transition leads into strong sales opportunities for the outside sales managers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
Three - Five years of inside sales/customer service experience preferred.
Ability to resolve difficult customer issues and make independent decisions.
Strong selling and negotiating skills.
Must be highly organized with excellent time management skills.
High level of integrity, customer service and customer management skills.
Prior experience in the pet food industry is a plus.
Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
