Tax Accountant Job Opening in Waco, Texas - The Tax Accountant position is an intermediate-level position in which the successful candidate will join a public accounting staff and will have primary responsibilities that include preparing federal tax returns and client accounting.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements
3+ years of professional experience ? small public firm experience a plus
Bachelor?s degree in accounting or related field
CPA certification or candidate
Proficiency in preparation of 1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S, and 1065
Broad exposure to federal income taxation and knowledge of tax regulations
Proficiency in ProSystem Fx preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Understanding of accounting systems (Quickbooks, Accounting CS, etc)
Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Professionalism, dependability, committment and integrity
Ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
