Used Parts Sales & Service Writer Diesel Shop Job Opening in New Britain, Connecticut - I am seeking qualified, motivated, reliable, responsible, trustworthy people to join our staff. These are full-time positions with 40 hours per week & some overtime as needed. We are a small company located in New Britain, CT. Open M-F 8am-5pm and Saturday 8am-1pm, we offer paid vacations, six paid holiday's, and soon we will also have a 401k plan to invest in towards your retirement. Compensation will be based upon experience
This position entails answering phones and greeting in person customers & vendors substantial amount of contact via in person and by phone, obtaining sales & retaining customers, budget truck rentals, writing up service tickets for the shop mechanics, helping with parts delivery & refueling of vehicles as needed, attention to detail and sound follow up skills, i.e. no leaving a customer or potential customer hanging without a return phone call.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED & 3-5+ years relevant experience in a service writer, used parts or new parts sales position
Valid Connecticut State Drivers License
3 Personal & 3 Professional References
General Computer Experience, Internet Skills
Ability to learn the computer software program that we use for parts sales
Ability to work overtime as needed
Ability to speak and write the English language / bilingual Spanish speaking a +, Excellent communication & organizational skills
Advise customers regarding parts needed, along with making suggestions on other parts they may want to purchase to coincide with repairs or improvements they are making to vehicle
Work with the mechanics directly to oversee the service center's workflow and scheduling
Extensive knowledge of automotive industry and parts
Ability to communicate equally well with mechanics, customers & management
