Commercial Loan Officer - AVP/VP Level Job Opening in chicago, Illinois - Commercial Loan Officer - AVP/VP Level Lakeside Bank, a leading mid-size commercial bank located in downtown Chicago, is seeking a full time Commercial Lender to manage a large portfolio of commercial loans (CRE/C&I) Would be responsible for all day to day activities of follow-up with clients, underwriting, closing loans, renewal, cradle-to-grave concept, etc. Must be extremely adept at working with Microsoft Word/Outlook, Excel, banking metrics, personal financials, tax returns, corporate financial analysis, title company requirements, data procurement, title closings, etc. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of commercial real estate, industrial real estate and construction lending. Knowledge of commercial and industrial loans is desired as well. The candidate must have good skills including accounting and financial statement analysis. He/she is responsible for identifying and developing potential commercial lending opportunities within a targeted segment of the Bank's marketing area. The candidate will also be working with the Senior Lender in assisting with his portfolio. He/she recommends significant loans to the Credit Committee for approval. The candidate will maintain an effective business relationship with customers to ensure retention of existing business. Requirements: Education and/or Experience �Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred or equivalent �5 years of lending experience �Interpersonal skills and communication skills to professionally represent the bank in our local communities �Working knowledge of various Commercial Loan products (CRE, C&I, SBA) �Microsoft Office Very proficient in Word and Excel; Must have strong communication & organizational skills; good verbal & written skills; working knowledge of Phoenix and Sageworks is beneficial.
