Project Manager - Asbestos Abatement & Mold Remediation Job Opening in Warwick, Rhode island - PROJECT MANAGER ? ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced, customer-focused Project Manager to join PAL Environmental Safety Corp. in their Smithfield, RI office. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the position will be responsible for the day-to-day management of asbestos abatement, mold remediation, and other similar projects.
Job Duties
Conduct project walkthroughs, develop cost estimates for potential projects and prepare proposals for clients.
Review contracts and subcontract agreements for completeness and to ensure terms and conditions are as expected and in accordance with the proposal.
Prepare necessary notifications and obtain any regulatory approvals as required.
Coordinate labor for the successful completion of projects.
Oversee work crew supervisors and provide guidance and direction to accomplish the task required at the lowest cost while maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Create Schedule of Values for projects.
Prepare pencil requisitions. Request invoicing from Accounting Department based on approved pencil requisitions.
Track job costs and ensure costs remain in-line with budgets.
Provide Accounting/Finance with monthly assessment of projects? cost to complete and percentage completed.
Solicit prospective clients for work.
Review and approve waste and other subcontractor invoices. Identify where on the SOV a subcontractor invoice is included to aid in the application of a ?paid when paid? policy.
Perform the position with a customer-focused emphasis.
Requirements
5+ years? experience as a Project Manager in similar field.
Asbestos Supervisor License a plus.
Ability to work independently.
Minimum OSHA 10 certification, preferably OSHA 30 certification.
Deadline focused with excellent time management skills.
Knowledge of Sage 300 Construction (Timberline) a plus.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Customer focused individual with strong customer relations skills.
