Job Summary for Physical Therapist:
Demonstrates knowledge of physical therapy treatment modalities and therapeutic procedures through his/her application in patient care. Effectively applies all physical therapeutic techniques appropriate to patient needs and physician orders. Completes all required documentation, assists in scheduling and attends interdisciplinary rounds/committee meetings as assigned.
Education:
Position requires a Bachelor?s in Physical Therapy.

Must possess a current license from the State Board of Physical Therapy
Experience:
Must demonstrate competence to provide physical rehabilitation services by reason of education, training and experience.
Other Requirements for Physical Therapist:
Required to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions that drive an appropriate plan of care. CPR required within 30 days of hire. All hospital and department mandatories completed within 30 days of hire.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities for Physical Therapist:
Provides direct patient care and demonstrates entry-level knowledge of assessment and treatment skills.
Maintains accurate and timely clinical records and confers with physician and other health professionals with regard to patient assessment, plan of care, treatment progression and discharge planning.
Maintains accurate billing records and meets expected productivity.
Demonstrates intermediate level computer skills to allow access to and for accurate completion of computerized medical records, billing records and various data based/statistical tasks.
Serves as clinical instructor for students.
Provides appropriate supervision of PTAs, therapy techs with regard to treatment skills, monitor and reassess caseload as required and determine progression in patient treatment.
Mentors and supervises summer employees and volunteers.
