Credentialing Coordinator Job Opening in Nashville, Tennessee - POSITION SUMMARY
The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the privileging process for all medical providers who provide care for PhyMed Healthcare Group. The Credentialing Coordinator also maintains up-to-date data for each provider in online systems while ensuring timely renewal of licenses and certifications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Processes applications for appointment and reappointment of privileges where PhyMed Healthcare Group affiliates provide care.
Maintains appointment and reappointment files and information in SyMed database.
Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers.
Maintain copies of current state licenses, DEA licenses, malpractice insurance and any other required credentialing documents for all providers.
Tracks and monitors license, DEA, board certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals.
Promotes a professional working relationship with internal and external customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED
At least one year of credentialing experience preferred.
Certification: Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
