Revenue Cycle Manager Job Opening in Bloomington, Illinois - Under the direction of the CEO, the Revenue Cycle Manager will oversee the revenue cycle for a fast-paced Medical Specialty Office. Responsibilities include managing and organizing the clinic?s billing office operations and coding staff; monitor daily coding volumes, staff and provider productivity, turnaround times, and other key indicators; creating and recommending action plans and responses to improve revenue cycle operations. This role requires current, in-depth knowledge of governmental and commercial insurance rules and regulations. The Manager will regularly review all key components of the revenue cycle process through dashboards, reports, queries, and other tools; monitor timely and accurate billing, coding, collections and follow up through reporting metrics and other analytical tools; and, assure coding quality and compliance with coding guidelines and reimbursement requirements. He or she will interface with key revenue cycle stakeholders including Clinical and Administrative Leadership to identify workflow issues and barriers to an effective revenue cycle process, and impact the effectiveness of revenue cycle processes; will identify and help to implement solutions; review and monitor all revenue cycle interfaces to identify workflow issues and barriers to an effective revenue cycle process for provider billing; and, recommend and help implement solutions. The Manager will be expected to develop and maintain a strong working relationship with Physicians and Administrative team to help assist them in developing and using financial data as appropriate. Additionally, he or she will process and analyze other accounts receivables and resolve any issues; work with the group to analyze and recommend changes regarding issues related to clams, effectively investigate and resolve denials; evaluate and train the billing and coding staff; participate in audits; and, perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.
Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Accounting, Healthcare Administration or equivalent experience.
Extensive knowledge of the healthcare revenue cycle environment and a strong understanding of medical billing practices and medical billing/practice management software applications.
Must have strong AP/AR background.
Ability to develop, analyze, implement and monitor productivity levels and quality improvement strategies.
Excellent verbal and written communications; including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Must possess strong analytical, time management, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills.
