Human Resources Internship: This is an exciting part-time/full-time opportunity for a current college student to learn hands-on the daily duties and fundamentals of a corporate Human Resources department as well as the inner workings of a growing, fast-paced, and dynamic Retail/Distribution Center environment. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who has an interest in the Human Resources side of the retail industry. Because today�s students may be tomorrow�s leaders, our desire is to provide these individuals with a meaningful and educational experience. Major job responsibilities include: � Conduct background checks and verify references � Assist in preparing and distributing Benefits information to benefit eligible employees � Assist in preparing and distributing Worker�s Comp information to all stores and processing claims � Assist in updating forms and policies on an as needed basis � Research relevant labor laws � local and national � Assist in distributing stores� business and sales tax license � Organize and maintain r�sum�/application database and department files � Prepare Recruitment Packs and Store Binders � Prepare new hire packets and new hire files � Assist in maintaining department invoices � Assist in administrative needs of the HR Department � Additional duties as required Minimum qualifications: � Must be pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business with an HR emphasis � Minimum 3rd year/Junior academic level in good standing � Must be proficient with Microsoft Office � Able to maintain confidentiality and avoid gossip at all times � Strong attention to detail and accuracy � Exceptional organizational and communication skills � High level of initiative and follow through � Able to work independently as well as within a team with an upbeat and friendly manner � Must be reliable and possess good time management skills � Comfortable on the phone � Hours for part-time: 15 to 20 hours � Hours for full-time: 37 to 40 hours Application instructions: Please email your cover letter and resume to for consideration.
