Job Duties of the Accounting Analyst:
Calculate monthly representative loan activity and balances
Analyze actual production versus targets
Calculate commission withheld through percentage reduction program and apply amount to outstanding loan balances
Calculate foregone interest amounts for representative 1099 reporting
Generate ACH withdrawals for loan payments
Prepare and reconcile payments from representatives
Prepare forgiveness letters
Prepare representative loan balances report monthly
Calculate monthly representative promissory note activity (SAFC) and Bonus Agreement accruals
Reconcile brokerage trading activity accounts
Calculate gains/losses on various securities transactions
Reconcile interest revenue on each month?s statements
Perform monthly reconciliation of corporate bond trading activity
Identify discrepancies between reported activity and actual
Prepare various monthly account reconciliations
File unclaimed property returns
Reconcile representative reimbursements payable
Reconcile reimbursements payable account weekly
Reconcile and analyze monthly activity relating to Company Store inventory
Coordinate invoice payments with Legal department
Track all leases and rental deposits of the corporation; reconcile monthly
Check/ACH processing and payables distribution
Reconcile various corporate bank accounts for multiple companies
Prepare rep receivable aging reports
Requirements of the Accounting Analyst:
Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
Two years related Accounting experience required
6-12 months securities or related industry experience preferred
Ability to recognize problems, formulate and implement appropriate solutions
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple functions
Ability to pay close attention to detail, work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work effectively individually and as a team player
Knowledge of accounting terms, practices and principles
Knowledge of general ledger accounting
Knowledge of general securities industry terms, practices and principles
Skill in utilizing various software packages such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet Explorer and Accounting software programs
Skill in verbal and written communication
