Field Distribution Sales Manager Job Opening in Chattanooga, Tennessee - Job Summary:
The distribution sales manager is responsible for driving sales and to help maximize revenue opportunities with distributors. This position will require personally visiting with distributors across the country.
Job Specifications:
Working closely with management teams to understand sales for outdoor music instruments with a wide range of channels.
Regularly meeting with distributors and sales teams to promote Freenotes products.
Weekly and monthly reporting on sales within distributors.
Giving feedback to the marketing team on the success of sales promotions.
Addressing customer service issues as raised by the distributors.
Identifying and reaching out to new potential distributors.
Working on cross selling opportunities within the organization.
Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts.
Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives.
Proactively leads a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship.
Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates partner needs on an ongoing basis.
Manages potential channel conflict with other firm sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to channel rules of engagement.
Leads solution development efforts that best address end-user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel.
Drives adoption of company programs among assigned partners.
Become a product evangelist for Freenotes.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing preferred.
Five years of experience in driving sales through a distribution channel ideally within the playground/parks & recreation industry.
Travel Required: 60% travel
Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
Other Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships with partners.
Strong personal network within the industry.
Driven, highly motivated and passionate about sales.
Professional sales training preferably.
