Accounts Payable Specialist Job Opening in Beltsville, Maryland - We are an established construction industry company located in Beltsville MD. We are looking for a bright energetic detail oriented person to join our team and take responsibility for our accounts payable function. The primary responsibility will be the processing of transactions and payments for domestic and international vendors. Special projects will be available as well. You will be part of a team and deal directly with executives of the company. You will be expected to take ownership of vendor communications and account management. This is a full time position with benefits.
Primary Responsibilities include: Process vendor payments
Maintain and reconcile vendor accounts
Manage the accounts payable aging
Reconcile purchase orders and vendor invoices, includes reviewing multiple items including receiving information and vendor pricing. Analyze documents for accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and takes corrective action when necessary. Maintain organized files for vendors.
Assist in preparation of financial reports. Assist with account reconciliations, including credit cards and certain cash accounts
Required capabilities:
Strong Attention to detail
Excellent Communication skills, verbal and written
Knowledge of basic accounting and journal entries. Proficiency with Microsoft applications, Excel, Word, and Adobe Aacrobat. Experience with Quickbooks required.
Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
Must have 3-5 years experience being responsible for accounts payable. Some college a plus
