Summary
This position functions as a junior accountant and is responsible for assisting with the accounts receivable process including recording payments; and preparing financial analysis reports monthly.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collects cash receipt journals from the clinics and verifies totals on a daily basis.
Verifies all cash receipt journals for accuracy and corrects if necessary, to code cash receipts.
Enters credit card and cash receipts in the respective cash receipt worksheets.
Exports cash receipt data entered in the spreadsheet for each clinic location into MIP accounting software.
Downloads the lockbox receipts from KeyBank online banking and enter in the daily spreadsheet.
Receives Key Capture receipts from the Administrative Assistant and enter in the daily spreadsheet.
Prints check copies, backups and Explanation of Benefits, and classify cash receipts in the spreadsheet.
Enters credit card receipts run by Finance in the daily credit card spreadsheet.
Prepares monthly financial analysis reports including ratios, metrics, trend & graphs and net patient revenue worksheets. .
Posts Budget vs. Actual reports monthly and responds inquiries.
Enters Paid On Accounts payment in the worksheet monthly for revenue reconciliation.
Uploads A/P checks weekly to KeyBank online banking.
Enters new vendors in MIP for Accounts Payable.
Posts medical co-payments in NextGen for various clinic locations.
Prepares and mails unclaimed property letters to vendors and patients monthly.
Acts as back up for the Accountant I ? Accounts Receivable & Reconciliation.
Job Requirements
Education ? Associate degree in Accounting is required. Bachelor?s degree in Accounting is strongly preferred.
Experience ? One year relevant work experience preferred.
