Senior Accountant Job Opening in Bellevue, Washington - Senior Accountant - Corporate Office
Bellevue, WA - LifeStance Health seeks to succeed in the behavioral health industry by providing medically driven, evidence-based treatment services for patients who are dealing with mental health issues in a variety of settings including inpatient services, outpatient clinics, residential facilities, and aftercare settings.
Position
We are looking for an ambitious Senior Accountant who is customer centric, enjoys challenges, possesses a proactive, entrepreneurial approach to getting things done and is able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the Company's finances and willing to grow the position as we expand the department and the Company.
Responsibilities may include:
Assume primary, day-to-day responsibility for maintaining the Company's general ledger
Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements, including internal and external reporting
Serve as subsidiaries' primary accounting liaison
Assist subsidiaries onsite with accounting and/or operational issues
Prepare reports for senior management and the Company's Board of Directors
Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
Prepare monthly journal entries for accruals and various adjustments.
Support all business units in running month end statistical reports
Assume primary responsibility for the monthly close process
Support the Corporate Controller with the annual audit process and all procedures related to subsidiaries purchase accounting
Assist with budgeting process (primarily administrative tracking and updating Excel templates as needed)
Assist in annual audit preparation (helping compile PBCs for review)
Respond effectively to inquiries from external and internal sources
Perform other duties, special projects and tasks as needed
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and minimum of four (4) years accounting experience in corporate office environment or public accounting firm
Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of GAAP
Familiarity with purchase accounting GAAP
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, lookups)
Intermittent travel required
Microsoft Word and PowerPoint experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and on a team
Ability to dig in and take ownership of responsibilities
Ability to work in fast paced environment and meet critical deadlines
Ability to work independently and maintain open communication with coworkers
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Some flexible regarding peak-time work requirements
A commitment to excellence and the ability to communicate to individuals at all levels and roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA
Healthcare experience, particularly clinic-based operations, such as physician practice management area
Experience in the interaction between EMR/EHR/practice management software and general ledger accounts
Working familiarity with GAAP purchase accounting
Experience with Oracle's NetSuite general ledger software
