Part time Accounting Assistant Job Opening in Wilmington, North carolina - Our client a rapidly growing international manufacturer is looking for a part time Accounting Assistant with the potential of going full time as the department grows. This schedule would begin as 8-12 Monday through Friday and a performance review to determine conversion in the future. The ideal candidate will have experience in the accounting field, have excellent communication skills and communicate effectively with others, both in writing and verbally. Candidates must be dependable, motivated, trustworthy, team oriented and have a strong work ethic. Candidates must possess an AA Degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience. Experience using accounting software a plus. They must have exceptional organizational skills, have a strong aptitude for detail, ability to multi-task and possess excellent computer/data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES will be in the following areas:
* Maintains accounting records by making copies; filing documents
* Assist with Accounts Payable
* Support for Invoicing/Accounts Receivable
* * Assist with other general accounting support functions as required
* Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
* Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing projects as needed
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience
2+ years of accounting/account management experience
Able to plan, organize and follow through on work
Observe all company procedures, safety rules and confidentiality
