Job Overview
Principle Long Term Care, Inc. is a Long Term Care Company withan immediate opening for a strong Payroll Supervisor responsible for all payroll processes in the home office for all companies. This position will work with the Payroll staff at the Home Office and with Payroll bookkeepers in the facilities. This position will communicate with the facilities concerning proper procedures and timeliness of submitting payroll information to the Home Office. This is a working Supervisor position and as such will be responsible for processing some of the workload as well as timely reporting and payment of employers and employee?s withholding taxes This Supervisor will be actively involved with the implementation of new computer software. Being able to communicate with staff, bookkeepers, Administrators, members of Management and Payroll Trainer is essential. This individual must be able to work independently and be able to multitask.
Position reports to the Finance Director. Office will be located in Kinston, NC.
Job Duties
Supervise day-to-day work of Home Office payroll department
Ensure that all payroll taxes are balanced and submitted weekly to all tax agencies
Responsible for filing all monthly and quarterly local, state and federal tax returns.
Communicate with Management and Accounting regarding Payroll issues as needed.
Handle employee inquiries and questions to ensure quick and courteous resolution.
Work with accounting staff to reconcile payroll liability accounts and General Ledger issues
Process Payroll as needed.
Discuss training opportunities with facilities and Payroll Trainer.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Job Requirements
Must have Payroll and Supervisory Experience
High School graduate or equivalent, prefer some college or equivalent experience.
Understanding of Sec 125 (pre-tax) benefits a plus.
Knowledge of wage withholding orders and garnishments
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and meet weekly deadlines
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding employee salary information.
Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with other employees at all levels.
Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Word.
