Controller Job Opening in Sanford, North carolina - Rapidly growing Sanford based service company is seeking a Controller to assist Chief Financial Officer with day to day financial transactions.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and equivalent business experience, as well as, knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles. Experience working with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite and other basic computer skills and software is a must.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage a team of four + employees
Client and customer invoicing and billing
Payment and collections processing and follow-up
Supplier invoicing, reconciliation and payment
Cash receipts management, posting, deposits and bank reconciliation
Credit card transaction processing and daily reconciliation
Financial statement preparation and analysis (monthly balance sheet, profit & loss and cash flow)
Gross margin analysis by territory and department
Employee productivity analysis and tracking
Annual budgeting maintenance and preparation assistance
Timely payroll processing and assistance utilizing ADP software; managing various pay structures
End of year 1099 processing
Maintain filing system (computerized and manual)
Corporate credit card processing and reconciliation
Monthly/quarterly sales tax management and filing
Process improvements further defining bookkeeping policies and procedures
Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
