Director of Specialty Pharmacy Services Job Opening in Asheville, North carolina - Sona Specialty Pharmacy, an independently owned and operated specialty pharmacy, is seeking a full-time Director of Specialty Pharmacy Services to join our team in Asheville, North Carolina.
The Director of Specialty Pharmacy Services will manage and grow our newly licensed specialty pharmacy. This position is responsible for business development, regulatory compliance and licensing activities for the company?s specialty drug strategy.

Primary Responsibilities
Identify and generate prospective new business and revenue opportunities and clients in Specialty Pharmacy industries
Manage relationships with current clients to enhance client retention and new sales through referrals and references
Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners
Define strategies by identifying target markets to grow the company?s presence in the Specialty Pharmacy market
Provide and present a consultative compelling selling approach with product knowledge, market trends, industry/competitor knowledge to manage increasing business development opportunities in Specialty Pharmacy
Ensure compliance with URAC accreditation requirements
Oversees daily ordering and participates in inventory management
Manages pharmacy in compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations, as well as Sona Specialty Pharmacy?s policies
Complies with all record keeping requirements for controlled substances
Qualifications
Required Education: MBA and/or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
Preferred Experience: 3+ years in business development and transactions, with experience in collaborations at a pharmaceutical or related healthcare company. Knowledge of specialty and/or compounding pharmaceutical industries.
