ROLE: Java Developer
LOCATION: Washington DC Metro
OVERVIEW: Apex Systems has an immediate need for a mid to senior level Java Developer. The Java Developer will join a small team, in a technically savvy environment, and assist in an upgrade and migration effort. The Java Developer is responsible for working with DBA?s, Testers, and peer Developers in successfully upgrading an older framework, and migrating application(s) to the Cloud.
The position is on a 6-12 month contract basis, with a chance for extension or permanent employment. Hourly compensation ranges from $50 to $70 per hour depending on experience. The successful candidate must have a strong Core Java development background, strong RDBMS knowledge, and Apache Camel experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
Leverage industry Java best practices to design, test, implement and support a multi-tier origination Java solution
Assure quality security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
6+ years of software development experience; experience should include some exposure to commercial software development environments
Solid technically and a willing communicator
Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environment
Demonstrable Java development experience should include?
Java
Spring Stack (Hibernate, Security, etc.)
Apache Camel
DESIRED:
Master?s Degree in Computer Science
Front-end development experience in AngluarJS
