Job Summary : Orbit Logic is seeking a talented software development engineer to develop web, mobile, and desktop applications for aerospace mission planning and scheduling. The developer will provide support for ongoing software development contracts, enhance existing software tools, and develop new software products. We are less interested in experience with an individual technology and more interested in people who are really good object oriented developers who can handle the difficult problems associated with the geometry of aerospace and the algorithms of scheduling.
Job Details : Candidates will work in small development teams on all aspects of the development life cycle including requirements, design, coding, unit testing, and deployment. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are current projects include satellite imagery collection planning, space to space imaging, telescope sensor tasking, iOS and android mobile app development, working with constellations of communication and imaging satellites, aircraft machine learning, tipping and cueing, onboard autonomous planning, 3D map visualization, and more.
Requirements :
U.S. Citizenship required
BS in Computer Science or equivalent
2-10 years experience with object oriented development
Strong experience in full software development life cycle
Effective communication and documentation skills
Desired Skills:
2-10 years experience in aerospace software development
2-10 years experience with C# in Visual Studio
Web application architecture and framework development
Mobile application development experience
Distributed / parallel / cloud computing (SOA, virtualization)
2+ years experience with Java including Java/J2ME, JavaScript, Objective-C, HTML, CSS, web services
