Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Specialist Job Opening in Cape May, New jersey - Cape May Brewing Co. is looking for someone to assist in the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the brewery. This fulltime position reports directly to the head of the Accounting Department and works with our Distribution and Sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Sales Reconciliations
Accounts Payable duties
New vendor setup (W-9s, data entry) and information updates
Maintain good relationships with vendors; field inquiries and address vendor issues
Book expenses to GL accts in Quickbooks and reconcile w/ inventory mgmt system
Prepare and distribute statements/reports as needed
Process employee expense reports
Assist with related projects, as required
Accounts Receivable Duties
Help to set up new customers and keep customer information up to date
Process and apply payments to customer accounts receivable records daily
Answer phone inquiries, call customers, and conduct follow-up
Research and process claims of invoice payment, credits, and bad checks
Generate and review customer statements and send mailings to customers
Manage past due account collection and communicate with distribution and sales
Assist with NJ ABC Retail Licensee Compliance duties

Willingness to assist in tasks outside of key responsibilities
Other Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting
Bachelor Degree in accounting preferred but not required
Accounting software experience is required, knowledge of Quickbooks is a must and knowledge of Ekos is a plus
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google with a focus on Excel/Sheets, is required
