Staff Accountant - retail Job Opening in Edison, New jersey - Henderson Harbor Group is a premier executive search and consulting firm with specialized expertise in Finance, Accounting and Tax placement. The search division recruits highly skilled professionals on a direct hire basis. We primarily service our clients in the NY an NJ area as well nationally through our AAFA network (45 financial staffing affiliates throughout the U.S. and Canada).
Our client is a global retail company with accounting and finance operations in NJ and they looking for two staff accountants. The position will report directly to the Director of Accounting and the candidate will be responsible for the oversight of the monthly close as well as process improvement.
Salary: - $65,000 - $75,000 + B + Free lunch and gym membership
Responsibilities:
Monthly close and preparation of financial statements for a number of entities
Perform balance sheet and income statement variance account analysis, and prepare all related journal entries.
Assist with other ad-hoc projects as necessary and assigned by the Director of Accounting.
Responsible for computing the daily cash balances for management purposes.
Manage petty cash process
Qualifications:
2+ years experience
BA degree in Accounting or Finance
Excel, Word
