Position Overview: Territory Sales Representative (TSR)
RSMs manage a group of accounts and serve as the primary sales/service liaison between Arctic Express and customers. Each representative will visit their assigned accounts on a scheduled basis to make sales, generate new business by selling in new products or products not previously sold at a particular account in addition to writing all weekly sales orders for the stores within their territory.
Responsibilities & Expectations
Sell and increase sales at each store within your assigned territory.
Wherever possible, open new accounts within your assigned territory.
Sell incremental space (e.g. bunker and upright freezers) at accounts within the assigned territory.
Attempt to obtain new or additional incremental space at the stores within your assigned territory.
Serve as the primary sales contact at the stores within your assigned territory.
Manage all sales related activities within your assigned territory.
Manage work flow, ensure deadlines are met and work is completed correctly.
Ensure 100% route completion on a daily basis. Depending on geography, a typical expectation will be to visit approximately 30 customers per day, either placing a new sales order or setting a follow-up plan and completing a site visit survey during each stop.
Ensure that every order is written to maximize sales, while maintaining planogram integrity and minimizing credits in chain accounts due to coding/expiry of products.
Work with local chain managers to secure incremental placements in addition to executing on established national programs, all aimed at generating and increasing sales.
Follow up with customers and delivery to resolve any order or delivery discrepancies and to communicate any special merchandising tasks required during the delivery.
Develop a strong connection with all assigned chain and non-chain customers and capitalize on all opportunities to increase sales.
Assist in training new team members.
Always think creatively and strategically to increase sales and make things more effective, faster, more valuable, more reliable, etc.; always think objectively and look for new and better ways to accomplish the sales goals.
Qualifications & Experience
A highly motivated individual with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to serve as a positive agent for change.
A team player with effective interpersonal and verbal communication and sales skills.
A minimum of three years prior sales experience, preferably selling to restaurant, hotel or small format retail customers.
Customer visits will take place using a company provided automobile and thus the applicant must have a valid driver?s license with a driving record that meets the insurability specifications of our insurance carrier.
Ability to work within ambiguity with minimal oversight and develop pragmatic solutions to complex challenges.
Ability to pass a criminal background check if a job offer is extended.
Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency.
Detail orientated and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
Superior organization skills and dedication to completing sales related projects in a timely manner.
Reports to a District Sales Leader
This is a salaried position with a potential bonus that is linked to sales performance

Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year
