Rental Sales Agent Job Opening in Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Job Description
Responsible for greeting customers, processing rentals and selling optional services, answering and receiving telephone calls and emails, resolving overdue rentals, responding to customer questions and complaints, and communicating with drivers and hotels for customer pick-ups.
Key Responsibilities
-Highly organized, goal oriented, and flexibility is a must
-Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
-Handle multiple tasks (ie., talking with customers while accessing information in a computer)
-Maintain a courteous and pleasant demeanor while speaking with external and internal customers
-Greet customers, complete necessary rental or parking information, disclose rates, terms and conditions of rental and obtain customer signatures while using effective sales technique to encourage customers to utilize service options
-Maintain and update rental agreement files; contact and notify customers of overdue rental vehicles and inquire as to the expected date of return; process rental extension
-Enter and maintain information in location logs
-Perform related responsibilities as assigned or required
-Candidate must be open to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
Skills
-1-2 years experience in hospitality, car rental or auto sales industry
-Ability to use effective sales technique
-Knowledge of car rental or car leasing operations
-Good organizational skills
-Ability to present a professional, enthusiastic attitude through effective communication skills to promote a positive impression to customers and employees
-Ability to recognize the opportunity to present upgrades to customers
-Ability to process all paperwork according to policies and procedures
-Ability to write clearly and concisely
-Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Applications
-Bilingual a plus
