Senior Software Developer/Analyst Job Opening in Juneau, Alaska - Responsibilities:
Perform software development, systems analysis, reporting design, and other development
Responsible for scoping, requirements, development, testing, and deployment tasks
Pursue new projects, and lead and participate in projects of various sizes
Expected projects will involve , Java, web services, SQL Server Reporting Services, SharePoint, SAP BI/BW reporting design, development, and related ETL work
Work primarily in Anchorage and Matsu, with limited travel to Juneau
Qualifications:
B.S. degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related area
Possess more than 5 years of experience in systems analysis, requirements, software development, reporting, and analysis
Experienced with a broad range of the following technologies preferred, but candidates with partial experience will be considered:
, distributed web applications, relational databases, reporting
C#, Oracle, MVC, HTML5, XML, JQuery
Java, JavaScript
SQL Server, MySQL, SQL Server Reporting Services
SharePoint design and development
Web and mobile applications, XML web services
Well-versed in data modeling and in designing underlying databases
Experienced in IT projects as individual contributor, lead, and/or project manager
Familiar with developing work estimates, tasks, and project approaches
Possess strong documentation skills in creating requirements, specifications, process flows, system documentation
Demonstrate solid problem-solving, relationship, communication, and coordination skills
Learn and apply technologies and business processes quickly and effectively
Communicate well with users, technical staff, and management
Work well independently and on teams
Show initiative in handling multiple assignments
Results-oriented, flexible, and creative
Eager to learn, self-starter, and support team outside of current skills
