PRN Staff Nurse Job Opening in Wichita, Kansas - Staff Nurse: General Summary
Under direct supervision of the Medical Supervisor and Administrator of South Wind Women?s Center, LLC. Assists in patient care while in the clinic. The Staff Nurse is responsible for observing, documenting, and treating abortion care patients, following standing orders and performing general clerical duties.
The Staff Nurse adheres to principles of service care and the philosophy and mission of South Wind Women?s Center, LLC in all aspects of job performance.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing holding a current Kansas license.
Maintains certification in BCLS and ACLS .
Problem-solving skills required.
Able to communicate effectively with patients and all members of the health care team.
Able to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change.
Prior related experience preferred
Able to perform a variety of duties and adjust to frequent change
Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a health care environment
Able to communicate effectively with patients & all members of the healthcare team
Physical Requirements
The Staff Nurse must be able to function effectively under stressful situations in a fast-paced environment. Has the physical stamina to meet the requirements of the Staff Nurse job description, including frequent walking, bending, sitting, standing, and occasional lifting. Knowledge of body mechanics necessary and uses appropriate safety transfer techniques and body mechanics when moving, transporting, etc, of patients or equipment, sometimes in excess of 50 pounds.
Also understand and accept the possibility of exposure to environmental elements, internal and external, which may affect the workplace, such as infectious disease, chemical, and/or chemical fumes, dust, noise, physical injury from an out-of-control patient and adverse effects of inclement weather which may occur.
The candidate shall encompass all of the above and shall be currently licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Kansas and be responsible and accountable to the Administrator of South Wind Women?s Center, LLC for:
(1) Delivery of nursing services to patients.
(2) Development and maintenance of nursing service goals and objectives, standards of nursing practice, nursing policy and procedure manuals and written job descriptions for each level of personnel.
(3) Coordination of nursing services with other patient services.
(4) Establishment of a means of assessing the nursing care needs of patients and staffing to meet those needs.
(5) Staff development.
