Sales & Marketing Manager Job Opening in Claremont, New hampshire - Job Description :
The Manager of Sales and Marketing leads the annual development and execution of the Sales and Marketing plan which includes sales growth and profit growth through the use of appropriate sales and marketing strategies and tactics. Participates in the annual business planning process and development of the business plan including sales and expense budgets.
Responsibilities include :
Leads the collaborative development of the annual Sales and Marketing plan.__
Identifies, analyzes and sets the markets that the plan will serve to achieve the company?s sales and profit goals.
Develops the marketing mix for each target market including the distribution plan, product plan, promotion plan, and pricing plan.
Creates the resulting annual sales budget at the appropriate level of detail.
Executes the Sales and Marketing plan to achieve / exceed the established budget.__
Manages and executes the promotion plan by:
Generating sales leads, making direct sales calls, attending customer trade shows, closing sales and obtaining new purchase orders, ensuring sales and marketing tools are effective and conducting marketing and media campaigns.
For retailer segments prepares plan-o-grams and retail sales materials as needed.
Ensuring that customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently by assigned customer service personnel.
Ensuring that technical support is provided to customers as needed to support the sales and marketing plan by assigned customer service personnel. * Manages and executes the price plan by setting and maintaining prices.
Manages the product plan by working with and through the supply chain team to ensure that products are sourced, purchased and stocked to support market expectations.
Includes finding and / or developing product specifications (including packaging and presentation) to guide sourcing activities as well as setting cost targets. * Manages the distribution plan by working with and through the operations team to ensure products are packaged, labeled and shipped to market expectations for quality and timeliness. Communicates specific customer requirements for same.
Establishes, documents, trains others on the business processes and procedures needed to execute the sales and marketing plan.
Improves the efficiency of business processes and procedures.
Monitors and reports the results of the Sales and Marketing plan.__
Prepares weekly, monthly and annual reporting against budget as required.
Analyzes trends in sales, price, products by market and makes recommendations and adjustments as needed to changing market conditions.
Prepares and updates sales forecasts, as needed, for use by the supply chain and operations teams to ensure product supply and delivery.
Supervisory Responsibility :
May supervise customer service and/or sales and marketing personnel as assigned.
May include preparation of or input to annual performance reviews and other performance management activities as needed.
May supervise independent outside sales representatives per the Sales and Marketing plan
May supervise any outside marketing, lead generation or website contractors per the Sales and Marketing plan.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk to customers and co-workers. This is largely a sedentary role, however, some work in the warehouse may be required.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Required Education or Experience:
Bachelor?s degree plus 4 years of Sales and Marketing leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in distribution and sales to major retailers is preferred.
