Sales Representative - Home Improvement Sales Consultant Job Opening in Myrtle Beach, South carolina - Carolina Home Exteriors (CHE) is seeking a Home Improvement Sales Consultant who can assist us in continuing our growth and success in our beautiful, sunny beach location in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. As our Home Improvement Sales Consultant , you will be spending time with customers in their homes to discuss their product desires and our project solutions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for meeting with customer, identifying their needs, presenting our product solutions, overcoming objections and closing on the sale.
Accountable for calculating the total sale, preparing the sales contract, documenting specifications of the project and collecting the deposit per company pricing schedule.
Prepare the Job Sales Packet, which includes the completed and signed contract, photographs, layout details, specifications and a diagram of project to allow the Project Manager and Installer to efficiently complete the project.
Develop and maintain product knowledge of the sunrooms, screen enclosures, porch, patio, pergolas, windows, doors, awnings, hurricane protection, new products and related outdoor living product categories.
In between field visits, be available within the showroom to assist walk in customers.
Participate in weekly sales and production meetings.
Diligently follow-up on leads and sales appointments received through various sources including company generated, self-generated, referrals, trade alliances, professional organizations, etc?
Conduct post follow-up with homeowners after project completion to determine satisfaction; ask for referrals.
Comply with company practices and procedures designed to increase sales, enhance profitability, and develop satisfied customers.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
3 years of outside sales or project estimating experience, direct to customer, residential home improvement and remodeling knowledge preferred.
Comfortable in making sales presentations and product demonstrations, providing customers with product samples and catalogs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, engage in active listening, asking probing fact-finding questions, and establishing rapport and trust with customers.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, prioritization, and follow-up skills.
Must be able to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Experience with design remodeling and construction with basic knowledge of residential construction, aluminum and stick-built home additions a plus.
High school diploma or GED required: Associates or Bachelor?s degree preferred but not required.
Basic math skills (particularly making calculations using a tape measure).
Possess intermediate computer proficiency (MS Office ? Word, Excel and Outlook).
Must have reliable transportation, valid driver?s license and clean driving record.
Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check.
Ability to lift 40-50 pounds.
