What?s the role?
This is a high impact role for a critical tinker who enjoys applying core technical skills and innovative thinking to solve complex business problems. The incumbent will be versatile who must be able to successfully operate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, handle multiple competing project priorities, and support evidence-based decision logic and provide predictive modelling solutions.
You?ll work as part of a team whose work will be wide-ranging, spanning multiple business functions and require a multi-disciplinary approach to problem solving and analysis. The position will report to the Pricing & Analytics, Manager supporting the continued advancement and development of new pricing methodologies and providing decisions support for strategic initiatives with competitive, market, financial, economic and statistical analysis.
The final products you produce could range from predictive models and pricing plans to dashboards and underwriting tools and you will be expected to play a role in each phase of the project ? conceptualization, planning, execution, deployment and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze business fundamentals, financial performances, and relative competitive positions to recommend solutions to business problems and opportunities around pricing, product development, process design and external market and competitive analysis.
Provide analytical expertise for decision support including risk and exposures, end-to-end cost curve analysis, and other financially relevant insights.
Leveraging industry standards, emerging methodologies and empirical research to develop critical inputs to pricing and business information, and helping business leaders develop innovative approaches to price their business.
Provide advanced business analysis and data for delivery in strategic planning sessions and playing the role of technical and competitive pricing subject matter expert in strategic sessions via partnering with senior leaders and peers across multiple business functions.
Design, monitor and report on performance management metrics and ensure alignment to strategic business objectives. Proactively communicate results to senior leaders.
Works closely with data & solution services to ensure data quality, data availability and industrialization of analytic procedures.
Proactively volunteer and do whatever tasks are needed to develop and deployed new pricing and analytics solution to the business.
Ensure documentation standards are proactively met
Person Specification:
Bachelor of Business Degree in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Economics, or Strategy with equivalent experience.
Skills:
Ability to mine and interpret complex datasets to draw business inferences and clearly articulate findings for target audience.
Knowledge of pricing theories and practices, strong statistical modeling skills a plus
Strong verbal and written communications skills, listening and teamwork skills, and effective presentation skills. This is absolutely essential since you will have a lot of exposure to different internal groups (data, IT, product, underwriting and sales) as well as third-party partners and customers (insurance companies).
Experience with BI tools (i.e. Tableau, Cognos)
