Salary + Commission based sales position.
Successful and rapidly growing cleaning and maintenance Company in Brooklyn NY seeking a qualified Government Sales Executive to lead the sales growth in the government sector of our business working from our North Jersey Satellite office. This position requires a broad government sales perspective and may involve relatively complex sales scenarios. Individual must be able to function in a team environment, yet be able to work as a self-starter.
JOB FUNCTION:
We are seeking a successful and aggressive sales executive with a proven track record of sales to the Government Sector, with emphasis on opportunities in the Tri-State area. Must have experience with the Government sales process including detailed understanding of competing RFP?s (Requests for Proposal) and RFQ?s (Requests for Qualification), using this as a starting point to get on bidder lists. Likewise being adept at knowing of upcoming, bid solicitations in the Tri-State area would be a plus.
Direct experience working with New York City?under Quality Facility Solution?s existing DCAS contract?would be of critical importance. Likewise having existing relationships with state and municipality governments in the Tri-State area would be most helpful. The person hired should be willing and able to seek out new government sales opportunities, arrange for site visits, proposals/quotes, and drawings, while knowing details of the government bid process.

Experience in preparing RFQ?s/RFP?s Exceptional Follow Up skills, plus Tri-State government experience, having relationships with New York City, and state and local municipalities. Ability to manage the Government Sales team. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent computer skills including CRM. A Bachelor?s degree would be preferred.
Required experience:
3+ Years government sector sales with the emphasis on New York City, and state and governmental agencies in the Tri-State area.
2+ years? experience in at least a few of the following areas: Janitorial and Maintenance, Mid / Post Construction Cleaning, Fire and Flood Restoration, Window Cleaning, Concrete and Marble Polishing, Floor Stripping and Finishing, Carpet Restoration and Extraction, and Bulk Removal
COMPENSATION:
We are offering a base compensation package of $60-$75,000, with the opportunity to earn a sizeable bonus.. Likewise included is a car allowance for gas, tolls, and parking associated with company business, plus a phone.
