Join the hospice that was first to provide exceptional, end of life care in our community. We are currently seeking a Quality & Compliance Officer .
Under the direction of the Executive Director, The Quality & Compliance Officer is a registered nurse, licensed in the State of Illinois, responsible for all the quality activities and is responsible for monitoring, implementing and evaluating the process and programs to meet regulatory, accreditation and standards of practice.
Essential Functions
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the organization?s compliance and quality assessment performance improvement (QAPI) programs.
Responsible for ensuring processes to monitor and evaluate safety, risk management, and infection control.
Collaborates with Clinical Management Team to provide a process to promote and ensure employee orientation, competency and in-service education programs.
Monitor organization compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Acts as a clinical resource to staff
Oversees Nurse Educator and provides assistance to community and staff education teams in meeting clinical education needs.
Promotes self-growth and collegial relationships with others in the home care industry.
Position qualifications
Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in Illinois.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Minimum 5 years clinical nursing experience, hospice or home health preferred.
Clinical supervision experience required. Understanding of billing, clinical documentation and conducting audits preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years regulatory compliance or related experience with Joint Commission standards preferred.
Certification in Healthcare Compliance preferred.
Must have a valid drivers' license, current auto insurance and access to a reliable automobile.
