Job Description:
The handling of digital archiving is essential to medical and healthcare compliance. Many of our premier clients are large medical research facilities and Universities, who require their data to be archived and stored as a requirement of compliance standards. Working as a Digital Archive Specialist for We Are Big Data Scientists (WABDS) means you will be backing up, archiving and restoring data on an ad-hoc basis. The role of a Digital Archive Specialist for Big Data requires an individual who is somewhat technical and computer literate but more so detail-oriented and extremely reliable and responsive. The ideal candidate is also organized, self-motivated and accustomed to working independently in an environment that handles focused and repetitive tasks.
This position requires a logical balance of efficiency and accuracy. This position requires the Digital Archive Specialist to be available or on call for a shift from Monday to Friday during the hours of 7:30am - 6pm Central Standard Time but will likely only preform duties or activities during 4-6 hours throughout the entire shift.
Job Requirements
What you will do is...
perform backups multiple times daily
restore from backups as needed
communicate to project managers and business analysts
capture digital images of documents as specified by the company
perform quality audits
report progress and quality audit notes and enter data into spreadsheets
initiate and maintain responsibility of the delivery or transmission of the data and snapshots or images
if errors occur, coordinate maintenance/repair with third-party hardware servicers and data entry personnel
perform basic image enhancement and file organization tasks
maintain professional relationships with business partners and display confidence to clients
manage multiple projects including setting and communicating priorities
anticipate problems and solve problems as needed
perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
What you should have is...
A four-year College or University degree
2-4 years of experience as a business\technical analyst, project manager, technical manager or business manager with a technical company
Some knowledge of databases and database management
Strong understanding of how technology and specifically data\information is used by businesses
Great organization and self-starter skills
Great communication and documentation skills
Ability to learn quickly (proprietary software\reporting templates)
Great communication and customer service skills
An ability to learn to, understand and translate the language of business managers to the language used by data scientist Benefits
