Tempest is searching for an energetic, capable, trustworthy, self-motivated candidate to join our winning team. Job Description: ? Manage day-to-day relationships ? Get timely quotes from vendors for both sales and service projects (BOM) ? Place and monitor PO's ? Vendor problem resolution ? Proactive communication with sales team on delivery and other important information. ? Keep up to date price lists and lead time information. Notify sales of changes. ? Stock-buy analysis and approval ? Inventory Management ? Receiving and acting upon requests for quotation from multiple sales and service personnel on a variety of telecommunications equipment needs. Negotiating the best terms and pricing from vendors. Placing purchase orders, tracking and coordinating the movement of purchased material. ? Developing and fostering excellent vendor relationships. ? Develop cost-effective, high quality administration and logistics processes. Manage personnel involved in administrative and logistics. Skills Required: Detail oriented with strong interpersonal communication skills. An ability to connect with all manner of sales and service professionals; The competence and confidence to engage vendors at both front line and corporate levels; A demonstrated ability to utilize "out of the box" creativity and a sense of urgency to solve problems.
