EHS Manager Job Opening in Claremore, Oklahoma - POSITION SUMMARY:
This highly visible and challenging position is responsible for compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Regulations at the Reading Truck Equipment, LLC locations, Southwest Region. (Oklahoma City OK, Claremore OK, Kansas City MO, and St. Clare MO.) This position will be accountable for managing the safety, environmental, and training functions at the locations and assist with Corporate-wide programs as needed. The person in this role will manage all aspects of EH&S, ensuring that facilities meet goals and milestones identified by the company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Actively participates on site leadership team in the areas of Operating Plans, Strategic Planning, Corporate HSE initiatives, internal auditing, management systems, compliance initiatives and reporting.
Lead EHS culture change within RTE new sites and facilities.
Develop detailed scope of work for implementation of programs and prioritization
Provide EHS technical support for projects within the plant; serves as the site EHS technical expert
Fulfills a leadership role in coordinating successful implementation of compliant Industrial Hygiene Programs; assumes role of OSHA respiratory program administrator as needed.
Conducts inspections and assessments to evaluate the site's compliance with OSHA standards; prioritizes programs to address identified gaps
Develops and maintains procedures and programs to maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal, and company requirements
Serves as a liaison and maintains relationships with regulatory agencies (including inspections) and insuring the best possible outcome
Develops required training programs and maintains employee safety training records and coordinates retraining to ensure compliance
Interprets existing and proposed changes regarding occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations
Reports and communicates incidents per the Company protocol; tracks, reports, and analyzes EHS performance and implements corrective action as necessary
Develops and implements site emergency response plans and serves as the emergency coordinator for events
Leads site level root cause incident investigations; assists in developing and implementing corrective actions to resolve EHS issues and tracks action items to closure
Submits corporate reports per requirements
Manages expenditures in accordance with budgetary process and manages site EHS projects to budget
Manage RTE workers compensation claims to effective completion and coordinate with Corporate EHS as needed on claims management.
Maintain company safety metrics and OSHA 300 logs
Perform Job Safety Assessments (JSA), PPE Assessments, PSSR?s, Haz Ops Reviews, and Kaizen events as needed and in compliance with regulatory standards
Can develop Emergency, Plans, PPC, SPCC and HAZ COMM compliant documentation
Ensures site compliance with Federal, State, Local and internal environmental regulations, programs and guidelines by maintaining and monitoring a compliance calendar, including Title V Clean Air Act, RCRA Hazardous Waste Regulations, PA Residual Waste Regulations, Storm Water and Waste Water, Hazardous Materials, and Storage Tanks.
Prepare and implement written environmental programs and policies
Performs and/or coordinates environmental sampling and monitoring to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and best practices.
Analyze/interpret plant safety metrics to proactively target and eliminate injuries, reduce injury rates and achieve positive outcomes through the development and execution of solid corrective actions and strategic plans
Ensuring accurate and timely EHS record keeping, document management and effective case management
Prepare, maintain, and submit all records and reports required by the Company and regulatory agencies including the OSHA 300 log and injury records, Tier 2 & form R reporting, (Sara 312/313), TSCA 8e and TSCA 8c, TRI, AIMS, and Biennial Reports if identified as necessary.

Qualifications
Minimum 4 Year Degree in Engineering, Industrial Safety, Technical Science, with at least 10 years of manufacturing or industrial EHS Management experience
Strong safety culture change subject matter expertise and experience
Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and complete project scope along with solid analytical skills for problem solving.
Strong appreciation for a logical, step-by-step, organized and results-orientated project within agreed upon time line
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with leaders and staff in all business divisions and corporate functions
Possess the vision to achieve a zero-index safety culture.
Excellent interpersonal skills with exceptional influencing and communication skills with past experience in a turn-around lean environment.
Able to effectively provide guidance to the organization which supports the RTB corporate strategies, goals, and objectives for safety leadership and compliance
Able to effectively build, lead and collaborate on teams and effectively communicate, both verbally and written
Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
EH&S certification preferred Certified Environmental Management, ASSE, Industrial Hygiene or similar
Ability to travel to out-of-state sites; estimated travel 25%-30%.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE:
Work occurs in a small to medium-sized production facility
Travel by car or plane may be required
