Job Summary:
The Information Technology Manager is responsible for the management and coordination of technological resources to support the organization?s infrastructure. He/she will ensure systems and operations are in place related to network, hardware, software, databases, etc. The Information Technology Manager will provide counsel to leadership regarding modifications and services needed to improve the organization?s technology.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for the oversight and management of the organization?s technological infrastructure.
Hire, train, and assign tasks to the Information Technology (IT) department
Manage the IT operations including; network, hardware/software, database, and communication devices
Communicate and collaborate clearly and effectively to improve IT operations
Recommend modifications where appropriate in IT structure, operation and/or agency policies affecting the service
Prepare, maintain, and test a technology disaster recovery plan
Develop annual technology goals, detailed plans for goal accomplishment, and capital investment plans for IT. Develop and maintain project plans for IT infrastructure, which include timeliness, deliverables, and cost projections.
Institute and enforce IT standards for hardware, software, office productivity tools and processes, security, internet access, and change management
Manage the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of Trilogy?s Local Area Network and Wide Area Network hardware/software.
Coordinate of telephone, e-mail, and voicemail systems.
Ensure proper system access control, security, back-up system, storage/retrieval and virus protection. Perform information security audits to ensure compliance of standards and system vulnerabilities.
Ensure technology such as product registrations, SSL certificates, maintenance agreements, service contracts, etc. related to IT operations and/or IT services are evaluated, updated, and processed. Ensure compliance with all software licensing agreements.
Manage technology inventory to include procurement and disposal.
Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Sciences or related field required
Minimum of 5 plus years? experience with IT management and leadership
Must have valid Illinois driver?s license and a safe driving record
May use personal vehicle to travel to off-site locations to provide IT support or to transport equipment to off-sites.
Demonstrated organizational leadership
Systems and Network Administration experience highly preferred
Working knowledge of WAN, WLAN, and LAN
Working knowledge of Virtualization; Hyper-V preferred
Remote connectivity knowledge and troubleshooting experience
Working knowledge of switching and routing protocols; Cisco IOS preferred
Working knowledge of firewalls; SonicWALL preferred
Experience with phone system VOIP and digital; Avaya preferred
Working knowledge of Windows Server 2008 and above, Exchange 2010 and above, and Office 365
Comfortably interacts, communicates, and collaborates with senior leadership
Demonstrated ability to define infrastructure and operational needs, assess alternatives, and determine and communicate recommendations. This includes the creation of plans, financial projections, etc.
Experience in not-for-profit organizations preferred
