Title: Senior Tax Accountant
Location: Daytona Beach, FL
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00
Summary :
This position represents an excellent opportunity for a tax professional that is looking for experience in a wide range of tax functions which will continue to build as the person learns more about the company.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review various tax filings, such as sales and use tax, income tax, property tax, business tax and commerce tax
Coordinate audits by various taxation authorities
Perform nexus studies and coordinate the registration process in new state and tax jurisdictions
Negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues
Propose strategies and solutions to minimize tax penalties and assessment
Recommend tax strategies by researching Federal, State, and local tax issues
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor Degree in Accounting
Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting and/or large corporation tax department
Experience with the preparation and consolidation of federal and state income tax returns
Licenses
CPA License preferred, but not required
