Engineering Specialist -- Power Electronics Design Job Opening in ithaca, New York - Engineering Specialist -- Power Electronics Design Role/Job Responsibilities: Electrical design and production support of spacecraft power conversion, regulation, and distribution units. Duties include electrical design of new units, support of units presently in production, troubleshooting problems with units presently on spacecraft, and troubleshooting support of on-orbit anomalies. Duties also include working with failure analysis personnel, dispositioning of Non-Conformance Reports, and working with Manufacturing and Test personnel to meet production schedules. Electrical circuit analysis using SPICE-based analysis tools required. Position Requirements: Job Qualifications: The Successful Candidate must have: Minimum BSEE and 8 or more years' experience, MSEE with 6 or more years' experience or PhD/DSc in Electrical Engineering with 2 or more years' experience. Desired skills and experience: A strong knowledge of Power Conversion circuitry and Spacecraft Systems highly desired. Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently.
