Staff Accountant Job Opening in Tampa, Florida - Job Duties:
Execute daily accounting functions, which include operating the general ledger system, and period-end close work
Complete period-end closing procedures in compliance with company policies and procedures
Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue and expense entries
Maintain and reconcile a variety of ledgers and accounts; examine accounting transactions to ensure accuracy; correct financial records as necessary
Balance Sheet reconciliations per period, quarter and year-end
Investigate, resolve, and respond to inquiries on financial matters from corporate and restaurant management
Assist with period-end accrual entries
Assist in fixed asset accounting
Perform a variety of special projects as directed
Review accounts payable entries from store admins
Review, reconcile and manage/train store admin; relating to data entry in areas effecting responsibilities above.

Degree in accounting or finance, or significant industry experience to compensate
Strong general accounting skills and GAAP knowledge with experience in month end close; including financial statement preparation
Proficiency in all MS Office applications with advanced knowledge of Excel required
Must have the ability to prioritize workload and multitask
Candidates must have excellent communication skills (oral and written); the ability to interact with all levels of management through the organization is key
Company Information
We are a restaurant group currently consisting of 4 Lee Roy Selmon?s locations and 6 Glory Days Grill locations. Currently in the process of expanding aggressively throughout the state of Florida and need someone ready to not only handle standard day to day accounting, but also help us with many special projects relating to store openings and upgrades in our systems/processes as we grow.
