Accounting Manager Job Opening in La Jolla, California - TAG, a premier leader in outsourced accounting and software solutions, is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join our Family CFO team!
This position is responsible for providing a high level of accounting support and leadership to the team. Minimum requirements for this role is at least 5 years of accounting experience and experience managing a team.
Essential Job Functions:
Manages a team by overseeing internal and client staff regarding transactional accounting activities.
Reviews Financial Statements by ensuring accuracy and presenting any discrepancies for further review to the Client Relationship Manager.
Improves Processes by streamlining client accounting processes through analysis, documentation, training & implementation.
Ensures Period Closing by providing complete, accurate & timely closing.
Coordinates advisor activities by providing information to CPA, Bankers and Attorneys, regarding taxes, legal issues and insurance.
Develops Team Members by leading, coaching and training the Associate Consultant team through education, regular meetings, and performance evaluations.
Manages Client Relationships by effectively developing strong relationships with clients through ongoing communication, financial analysis, suggesting additional TAG services to provide additional peace of mind and keeping the Client Relationship informed of any potential issues or obstacles.
Manages Deadlines by adhering to financial calendar to ensure all deadlines are met.
Requirements:
Advanced Accounting Skills
Advanced MS Office Suite including Excel
Strong GAAP Accounting and Tax knowledge
Strong understanding of various entity types including LLC, Corp, Trusts and tax implications of various business structures
Ability to analyze, identify and solve complex accounting problems
Record-keeping and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to manage, lead and coach a team of accountants
Essential
5+ years of Accounting experience
Bachelor?s Degree
Advanced Software Skills (Excel, QuickBooks etc.)
Advanced GAAP knowledge
Experience leading a successful team
