JOB DESCRIPTION: located in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking a Corporate Accountant -Controller to lead the accounting functions of this well established high growing technology firm. Responsibilities include the preparation of financial statements, month end close and annual reporting responsibilities according to US GAAP reporting standards, fixed asset accounting as well as manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities overseeing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and collections functions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Maintenance of general ledger accounts and analyses *Accounts payable, Accounts Receivable, and Account Reconciliation *Journal entries and accruals *Profitability analyses *Bank and Credit card reconciliations *Invoicing and billing *cost accounting *Cash flow analysis *Budgeting & Forecasting *Monthly financial statements and reports *Vendor and customer resolutions *Payroll & payroll taxes *Corporate tax preparation experience - preferred Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments. Assure financial plans are consistent with organizational goals. Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc. when necessary. Interface with outside audit firms(s), banks and lessors, casualty/liability insurance agent(s), credit card companies, and collection agencies. Based upon business need additional responsibilities may be assigned at management�s discretion. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor�s Degree in accounting is required. Proficiency in the use of QuickBooks and Excel is required. Experience with other accounting systems as well as specific experience working for an employment screening or background screening firm or a transaction based business is preferred. CPA, and corporate tax preparation experience is preferred as well. Compensation: annual salary of $45K - $55K based upon experience.
