Sales Representative Job Opening in Kalamazoo, Michigan - Oil Chem Inc. We are a manufacturer of environmentally friendly bio-based fluids, rust preventatives, industrial lubricants, and cleaners for a variety of different markets globally. Our services also include toll blending and private labeling for customers. Oil Chem is equipped with an on-site full service analytical laboratory for product testing, new product development, and quality control. We are looking for a sales person to provide value added services to our sales team on our current product line. Oil Chem is headquartered in Flint, Michigan but are seeking an individual to service existing local and regional accounts in and around the Kalamazoo area.
Position Focus:
Prospecting for and the acquisition of new customers, through value added consultative selling technique. Sales growth of the territory by controlling attrition in existing accounts while aggressively pursuing new business.
Scope:
A wide degree of independent work is expected.
Job Specific Comments
Sales management of a large portfolio of in-house accounts throughout the U.S.
Maintain regular contact with accounts and develop relationships with key contacts
Resolve product and service issues with customers
Notify customers of price changes
Administration of price changes
Assist in preparation of account bids
Respond to leads or incoming calls from prospects
Obtain site assessments and necessary background information for new accounts
Market research as directed by sales management
Participation in departmental projects as requested
Available for overnight travel
