Cost Accountant Job Opening in Laconia, New hampshire - Titeflex Aerospace, a subsidiary of Smiths Group plc under the Flex-Tek division, is a manufacturer and repairer of PTFE assemblies, metal hose assemblies, and precision rigid assemblies for the aerospace industry. Titeflex is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their team.
Summary Applies principles of cost accounting to conduct studies which provide detailed cost information not supplied by general accounting systems by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Plans study and collects data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.
Analyzes data obtained and records results.
Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic report comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Records cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
Analyzes audits of costs and prepares reports.
Compiles cost information to be used in operating budget preparation.
Makes estimates of new and proposed product or service costs.
Recommends cost efficiencies in new product layouts.
Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
Develops and installs cost accounting system.
Appraises and evaluates real property or equipment for sale, acquisition, or tax purposes.
Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or related field; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
